Cru of the D.O.C.G. denomination, Superiore di Cartizze is produced in a small 107-hectare area positioned amongst the steepest hills of the town of Valdobbiadene. Hand harvested once the grapes have reached full ripeness, this prized and extremely pleasant sparkling wine has an intense and luminous bouquet, with notes of apple, pear, apricot and roses.
It is fresh, soft and bubbly on the palate.
A light aperitif, it can also be consumed unaccompanied, but its sumptuousness is best expressed with desserts: wild berry English trifle, chestnut mousse and Chantilly cream, tarte tatin with peaches, and millefeuille with strawberries. Serve chilled at 6-8°C.
