The alchemy created between climate and the fertile soil created by the Piave River’s alluvial deposits allows this Merlot to express the best of its variety’s typical aromas. With its beautiful ruby red colour and violet reflections, this wine provides hints of black cherry, red cherry, and raspberry, accompanied by pleasant spicy notes on the nose, due to it being aged in casks for a number of months. It is delicately velvety, dry and full bodied, with a persistent and slightly herbaceous base on the palate.
Soft and harmonious, it goes well with any meal, especially with tasty dishes like cappellacci with porcini mushrooms, or pumpkin soup with crispy bacon, sliced beef on a bed of rocket salad, or with delicious roast pork. Serve at 18-20°C.
